This Privacy Policy describes how WWChat ("Service", "we") collects, uses, and protects user information.

1. Information We Collect

When using the Service, we may collect the following data:

Registration data: email address, username, encrypted password
Profile data: avatar, profile description (bio) that you add voluntarily
Messages and media: text messages, images, videos, and files you exchange
Technical information: device type, operating system version, push notification identifiers

2. Third-Party Service Integrations (Google Drive, OneDrive)

The Service offers optional integration with third-party cloud storage services, including Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. These integrations are initiated solely by your explicit action and require your authorization via OAuth 2.0.

2.1. Data We Access

When you connect a cloud storage service, we may access:

File metadata: file names, types, sizes, and folder structure necessary to display available documents
File contents: the content of documents you explicitly select for use with the AI Assistant

We only access files that you explicitly select. We do not scan, index, or access your entire cloud storage.

2.2. How We Use This Data

Data from connected cloud storage services is used exclusively to:

Display a list of available documents for you to choose from
Read the content of selected documents to provide them as context to the AI Assistant
Generate AI-powered responses based on the content of your selected documents

We do not use your cloud storage data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the AI Assistant functionality you requested.

2.3. Data Transmission to AI Services

When you use the AI Assistant with documents from cloud storage, the content of selected documents is transmitted to third-party AI service providers (such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and Google Gemini) for processing. This transmission is:

Encrypted in transit using TLS
Performed only for the specific documents you select
Used solely to generate a response to your query

AI service providers process this data according to their own privacy policies and do not use your data to train their models.

2.4. Data Retention and Deletion

Document content retrieved from cloud storage is processed in real time and is not permanently stored on our servers
Temporary caches of document content are automatically deleted after the AI Assistant session ends
OAuth access tokens are stored securely and encrypted on our servers for the duration of the integration

2.5. Revoking Access

You may disconnect cloud storage integrations at any time through the Service settings. Upon disconnection:

We immediately delete all stored OAuth tokens for that service
We no longer have access to your cloud storage
You may also revoke access directly through your Google Account settings or Microsoft Account settings

3. AI Assistant

The Service includes an AI Assistant feature that uses artificial intelligence to process your queries and provide responses. When using the AI Assistant:

Your messages and any attached context (including documents from cloud storage) are sent to third-party AI service providers for processing
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete — they are provided for informational purposes only
We do not use your AI Assistant conversations for advertising or share them with third parties beyond what is necessary for AI processing
Conversation history with the AI Assistant may be stored to provide continuity within your chat sessions

4. How We Use Information

Collected information is used to:

Provide messenger features (messaging, calls, channels)
Deliver push notifications about new messages and calls
Provide AI Assistant functionality, including processing documents from connected cloud storage
Improve Service quality and fix bugs
Ensure security and prevent abuse

5. Data Sharing

We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

AI service providers: document content and messages are transmitted to AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) solely for generating AI responses
Legal requirements: when required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process
With your consent: when you explicitly authorize sharing

We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.

6. Data Storage and Protection

We use modern security methods:

Passwords are stored encrypted (bcrypt)
Connections are secured with HTTPS/TLS
OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on secure servers
Data is stored on secure servers with limited access
We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this Policy

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request information about your personal data
Modify or delete profile data in app settings
Connect or disconnect third-party cloud storage integrations at any time
Request deletion of data obtained from connected cloud storage services
Delete your account by contacting support
Opt out of push notifications

8. Policy Changes

We may update this Policy. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. By continuing to use the Service after changes, you accept the updated Policy.
